Metadata Workshops

A series of metadata workshops will be conducted during the 2003 to 2004 academic year, starting from 17th November 2003.

The workshop activities will entail:

  • metadata and standards;
  • the benefits of metadata;
  • the Go-Geo! portal;
  • the FE/HE Metadata Application Profile and guidelines;
  • metadata tool.

Workshops will be offered as short (one hour) or long sessions (two hours) and could be included as part of a seminar or class, or as a separate activity. The workshops can also be held in conjunction with the portal evaluation sessions.
