Special collections

The History Data Service enriches and enhances selected data collections by developing thematic special collections where there is a critical mass of related data collections. The following thematic special collections are currently being developed:

• census enumerators' books
• British and Irish nineteenth and twentieth century statistics
• poll books
• wage and price time series
• local history
• prosopography

Please contact the History Data Service if you wish to collaborate in the development of thematic special collections. While reviews of past research often concentrate on seminal or ground-breaking work that has in some way defined a particular field, it is also useful to assess a broader range of data resources in the field.
