Digital History: Seminars at the IHR

The Institute for Historical Research at the University of London is hosting a number of seminars on the topic of Digital History during the Spring Term 2012:

Databases for historians

The Institute for Historical Research at the University of London is running two courses on using databases to organise or analyse historical data. Four-day Courses for beginners will take place on the 27th-30th March 2012 and on the 12th-15th June 2012. A second course for advanced users, Databases for historians II: practical database tools will run from the 27th to the 29th June 2012

GIS for Historians - Practical Course at the IHR

The Institute for Historical Research at the University of London is running four-day practical courses on GIS for Historians. Dr Ian Gregory (Lancaster), one of the UK's leading experts in the field, will be teaching this intensive hands-on introduction to historical GIS, providing both a practical guide to the software and theoretical guidance on applying computerised geographical analysis to historical problems.
