Relaunch of the History Data Service - 1 April 2008

On 31 March 2008 AHDS History will close. On 1 April 2008 a new History Data Service will be launched. From this date the AHDS History website will remain in place for archival purposes, and parts will retain their functionality. On 1 April 2008 this page will become the home page of the new History Data Service and up-to- date content will only be available from here.

Searching AHDS History Collections

AHDS History collections can be searched from two main sites. The AHDS Cross Search Catalogue allows one to search the entire collection of the AHDS including AHDS History.

It is also possible to search the UK Data Archive's catalogue, which contains the complete AHDS History collection along with other social science related datasets.

AHDS History is one of the five Centres of the Arts and Humanities Data Service. It is also part of the UK Data Archive at the University of Essex. It is jointly funded by the Joint Information Systems Committee and the Arts and Humanities Research Council.
